I hope that you know and love the fabulous app that is Instagram, but for those of you that don’t…be prepared to fall in LOVE!!  Instagram is a free photo sharing program that allows you to take a photo, apply a digital filter to it and then share it!  It posts on Instagram but you can also share it on other social media sites like twitter and facebook.  Such a fun way to keep up with and share those fabulous memories!  Trust me you will Love!  You can follow me at hersplitends.

It’s been a crazy week…i can’t believe its already Thursday!!  Work has been nutz…i’ve been running around like a chicken with its head cut off…nutz…nutz i tell you!  I promise to make up for my lack o’ blogging this week with LOTS of fun and fabulous stuff coming up soon.  But for now please enjoy this fabulous pictures.  It sort of describes exactly how i have felt this week…

Chip it good

Chip it….Chip it good.  STOP time and prepare yourself for the coolest little app EVER!  {ok that might be slightly dramatic}…but for this color loving girl the new Chip It button from Sherwin Williams is AmAzInG!

Super simple: follow this link to the Sherwin Williams website and drag the “chip it” button to your toolbar.  Then just use it like you would use the “pin it” button for Pinterest, when you find an image that inspires you {for ANY reason} click the “chip it” button and roll over the image to see the color palette inspiration…if you love it then CHIP IT!  so lovely.  Here are a few of my favorites but stop by the SW site to check out my chips so far.

Guess that Paint color

Have you ever been out and about…just minding your own business when all of a sudden you spot it…the perfect color…the color you’ve been looking for to paint that accent wall in your living room…or that piece of furniture you are trying to bring back to life.  Well then…you have come to the right place!!  I’ve got just the perfect little thing for you.  Check out this cool Sherwin Williams app.  Once you’ve got the app on your mobile device…just click a pic of the “thing” you are trying to match…push the button…and BAM…matching Sherwin Williams paint color for you!!  I literally have tested it out on my furniture at home, my dog’s fur, my friend Jessica’s sweater…literally you can take a photo of anything you want to try to match!  Brilliant!

*Now keep in mind there is no promise that this will always be 100% accurate…you have to consider the effect of shadows, etc in the pictures.  But what a fabulous tool to get you going in the right direction for all your color selection needs!!
